New Atlas covered the launch of the Panthette X, the light adventure scooter that the magazine places head to head with the Yamaha XMax and the Honda ADV350.
The piece runs through the three versions — 125, 250 and 300 cc, all liquid-cooled four-valve singles — and stops at what it sees as the model’s strongest card: 148 kg on the scales, some 35 kg less than the XMax 300 and 38 kg less than the ADV350.
It also picks out equipment that is rare in this segment: 41 mm upside-down forks, a 7-inch connected TFT screen, ABS, heated grips, hand guards and tyre pressure monitoring.
