Almost sixty years after the Yorkshire factory closed its doors, EICMA devoted a detailed profile to the return of Phelon & Moore and to the model that carries it: the Capetown 7X.
The show highlighted the 693 cc parallel twin, the steel trellis frame, the adjustable suspension and a choice rare in this segment — the cast aluminium single-sided swingarm — along with the spoked wheels wearing the brand’s own Panther pattern tyres. The name pays tribute to the 1935 London to Cape Town crossing by Teresa Wallach and Florence Blenkiron.
